Veterans Services provides for the provision of Federal Veterans Administration and general laws governing the financial support of local veterans, including the determination of eligibility, the disbursement of veterans benefits and assisting local veterans and their families in obtaining financial & other counseling, advice and assistance.
Healthcare discussion for Martha's Vineyard veterans
Representatives from the VA Medical Center in Providence R.I. will be on the Vineyard on Wednesday, May 8th 2013 for a town hall type meeting with island veterans to discuss how the contract is workingout for veterans. Presently the Director of Providence VA Medical Center Vincent Ng, Tom Antonaccio and Dr. Monte Vanbeber are scheduled to come to the Vineyard. The meeting will take place at American Legion Post 257 in Vineyard Haven from 5:30 to 7 pm. If you have any questions please feel free to call Jo Ann Murphy, Dukes County Veterans Services.

All Martha's Vineyard veterans who utilize the VA healthcare system are encouraged to attend to voice their concerns and opinions. Currently there is contract between Martha's Vineyard Hospital and the VA in place.
