Mass in Motion - MV is a program sponsored by the MA Department of Public Health and Dukes County Health Council to promote both healthy activity throughout one's lifespan through walking, biking, and having access to locally-grown foods on Martha's Vineyard and in Massachusetts.
Mass in Motion-MV works locally to increase opportunities for Island residents to eat better and move more in the places they live, learn, work, and play. Martha’s Vineyard is among 52 cities and towns throughout the Commonwealth that are part of the MA Department of Public Health’s Mass in Motion Municipal Wellness and Leadership Program. Mass in Motion-MV is working to implement Safe Routes, Complete Streets, Healthy Dining, Healthy Island School Foods as well as improved WIC/SNAP access to farms and markets, initiatives that will make the healthy choice the easy choice for Island residents.
Mass in Motion-MV is funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. For information from the state visit the MA Department of Public Health at firstname.lastname@example.org.
