Dukes County is well protected by police, fire, and emergency management agencies.
CodeRED Emergency Notification System (REVERSE 9-1-1)
Click to get more info and sign up. This system will allow the emergency services on the island to notify you of any emergency situations that may effect you and your family.
9-1-1
Dial 9-1-1 for all emergencies.
3-1-1
Dial 3-1-1 for non-emergency police and fire calls. The 3-1-1 system diverts calls from 9-1-1 dispatchers so they can focus on real emergencies. (The Dukes County Sheriff's Office and the Martha's Vineyard Chiefs of Police Association are the first in New England to implement 3-1-1.)
Cell phones
9-1-1 cannot be reached on a cell phone. Cell phone users, dial 508-693-1212 to report an emergency.
