Division of Insurance
The state agency that oversees and regulates health insurance in Massachusetts. This site has information on small business insurance and non-group insurance, including lists of insurance carriers (look for “Consumer” information).
Uncompensated Care Pool
The program that provides free health care services at health centers and hospitals for uninsured, low-income residents of Massachusetts. It is administered by the state’s Division of Health Care Financing and Policy.
Medical Security Plan
The health insurance plan for people receiving unemployment compensation, available through the Massachusetts Division of Career Services and Unemployment Assistance.
