The County is pleased to announce that the Little Bridge Channel will soon be dredged to permit flushing of tidal waters to insure that Sengekontacket Pond stays healthy. The channel silted up with the recent Northeasters. The County freed up $16,000 and partnered up with the Oak Bluffs Shellfish Warden David Grunden who provided an additional $5,000 and the County went to the State and obtained another $14,000 to meet the estimated costs. The County also received great cooperation from the Oak Bluffs Conservation Commission and the State to permit this emergency dredging.
